Why Our Program Works for You

CONVENIENT AND CONFIDENTIAL

Our extremely convenient addiction treatment program makes your recovery a priority. Our program only requires a once-a-month in-office visit, as we understand many of our patients are working and have families and responsibilities at home. We respect and value your time, and we ensure that your treatment is completely confidential.

PERSONALIZED TREATMENT

At our practice, we truly treat the person, not just the addiction. This is why our in-depth evaluation and addiction assessment are so important to understand your background and history with addiction. You will then work one-on-one with our doctor to create an individualized addiction treatment plan that allows you to reach your recovery goals.

COMPASSIONATE COUNSELING

Our core belief is that our patients are welcomed as family. When you come to our practice, you have an immediate support system in our caring team of counselors. They provide one-on-one counseling to help you develop coping skills and provide psychological and emotional support throughout your treatment.

SAFE AND RESPECTFUL ENVIRONMENT

With over 17 years of addiction recovery experience, our commitment to our patients is unmatched. We strive to provide a non-judgmental and safe environment for all our patients, where they are treated with the utmost respect. Our goal is to ensure your safe recovery by understanding your needs and providing you support and personalized treatment in our serene facility.

How Suboxone® Works

Suboxone1 blister

Suboxone® is an FDA-approved medication used in the treatment of opioid addiction. Suboxone® comes as a sublingual film and includes two ingredients, buprenorphine and naloxone in a 4:1 ratio. Buprenorphine works as a partial agonist and helps reduce opioid cravings and withdrawal symptoms, stopping the brain’s receptor hunger for the opioid receptor. Buprenorphine has an analgesic effect, boosting the ability which discloses existing opioids and prevents others from attaching to the receptor.

Naloxone is important because treatment can eliminate craving and withdrawal while allowing you to think and function normally. One of our experienced Physicians will help determine the right course of treatment for you.

The treatment offered here has truly given me the tools I needed to turn my life around. I have recommended this office to many friends reaching out for options and assistance seeking recovery. Suboxone Treatment Questions

Suboxone contains a combination of Buprenorphine and Naloxone, which work to block opioids from stimulating receptors in the brain. It helps to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms and is normally administered under the tongue. Suboxone Treatment is a great choice for many of our patients who are transitioning off of Methadone or are looking for a more flexible substance abuse treatment program.

Methadone relieves pain and prevents withdrawal symptoms for patients suffering from opiate addiction. It does this by binding to receptors in your brain to block the effects of opioids and reduce cravings. It comes as a tablet or a liquid that you take orally. Methadone Treatment helps patients suffering from the chronic pain of opiate addiction and provides a stricter addiction treatment program for those patients who need clear structure.

Both Suboxone and Methadone are medications used to treat opiate addiction. However, the medication that is best for you will depend on the severity of your addiction, your medical background and your current needs. Our addiction doctors will do a thorough examination and work with you to determine the best course of treatment.

Methadone Treatment and Suboxone Treatment have two different schedules and protocols that will affect how often you come in for addiction treatment. Our doctors will assess your treatment type, your medical needs, the severity of your illness, and your dosage to determine your treatment schedule. Group counseling sessions are conducted on a regular basis. At The Suboxone® Doctor ATL, confidentiality is strictly enforced. Information related to your enrollment is confidential and protected by federal law.

Depending on the addiction treatment program, we gladly accept Medicaid, CareSource, and VA. If you do not see your insurance here, don’t worry. We offer an affordable private pay program to ensure you get the help you deserve.

Whether it is Methadone Treatment or Suboxone Treatment, our number one priority is that you are able to find the help you need when you need it. For both addiction treatment programs, patients are usually admitted into the program within 24-72 hours. Admission days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Walk-ins are welcomed and usually admitted the same day.

When it comes to treating opiate addiction, The Suboxone® Doctor ATL offers both Methadone and Suboxone based treatment programs, as well as group and individual counseling services.

The Suboxone® Doctor ATL offers a Methadone Treatment program especially for women who are pregnant. Read more about our addiction treatment for women who are pregnant here.

The Suboxone® Doctor ATL knows that emotional and psychological support is a core component of opiate addiction treatment. Both our Suboxone and Methadone Treatment programs offer group and individual counseling services with certified counselors. Read more above.
